How To Flashing elephone p9 water
holding the 3rd place in smartphone market, huawei was almost obligated to present a really competitive flagship. p8 and especially its lite edition did more than good, so the chinese giant takes its next step. i am sakis karpas, you are watching unboxholics and this huawei p9, the best smartphone the company has ever made. the device came to us by germanos shop in aridaia,
where you can find both p9 and p9 lite. the package is enough to take note of the premium attitude. it contains the power adapter, a usb type-c cable, a set of earphones with great design, which look a lot like apple's earpods, the usual manuals and a pin for the sim extraction. to begin with, i'll say that p9 is one of the most beautiful phones i've ever held. its main body is aluminum with diamond-cut edges, which give an expensive look and feel. i really like the glass panel, up where the two cameras are
and it makes its design unique. take care though, as rumors say this glass is easily scratched. i'm holding the titanium gray model, which has a bit of a pink touch. it's also impressive how thin it is, just 7mm. nevertheless, it's a really robust device. on the back, there is a square surface which acts as a fingerprint sensor. the sensor is lightning fast, maybe one of the fastest out there, but what surprised me, was how easily it recognized the fingerprint even if it was not placed correctly on it.
down we find the audio jack port, a microphone, the usb type-c port and the main speaker which is very satisfactory both in clarity and volume, with its only downside, its bass. on the right there are the physical buttons, meaning the volume rocker and the power button. they are metallic, have great clicky feeling and the power button has a rough surface to make it stand out. on the other side there is the sim and microsd slot which can give its place to a second sim.
on the upper side there is only a noise cancellation microphone. on the front there is the secondary 8mp camera with f/2.4, the panel sensor and the satisfactory head speaker. about the screen now. first, we have a 5.2-inch panel which is not protected by gorilla glass unfortunately. i like the curves on the edges which give a nice feeling on slide. the new type ips-neo lcd panel has left me with the best impressions even though it's full hd, both in clarity and in color reproduction. the image is really impressive, with great, convincing colors
without exaggerating and as much as i tried i couldn't tell the difference in pixels besides the truly magnificent 2k panel of galaxy s7. the only downside, which doesn't bother a lot of people, is the viewing angles, where you see the colors fade from a diagonal perspective. overall, i'm impressed by what huawei did with the panel. inside there is a hisilicon kirin 955 chipset, which consists of of two quad-core processors, clocked at 2.5ghz and 1.8ghz, with mali-t880 mp4 as gpu.
ram is at 3gb and storage at 32gb, expandable via microsd up to 128gb. take note that the 64gb edition comes with 4gb of ram. with these specs, the device is fast in everything. games, multitasking, browsing with multiple tabs, the phone is unstoppable, but does get a little hot on the back. to be honest, i'd like 4gb on ram as a standard, not because it needs them, but mostly for the moral satisfaction since most of the 2016 high-end android devices come with 4gb of ram. huawei says that the 3.000mah battery exceeds one day of use,
but when i used it, i found myself with a small percentage at the end of the day. p9 comes with the 6th edition of android, covered with huawei skin, emui. overall it's an easy to use and well built software with lots of features, but bloated with double apps from google and huawei. it is really fast though and i found myself enjoying its use especially on that marvelous screen. huawei is one more chinese company that doesn't use an app drawer. and finally, let's talk about the most advertised feature of p9, the double main camera build by leica, a great brand in photography history.
there was confusion when it was made known that sunny optical manufactured the camera and not leica, but huawei stated that p9's camera was developed in collaboration with leica. i call them marketing tricks. back to the camera. in short the camera is 12mp with f/2.2 and consists from an rgb and a monochrome camera. the monochrome is responsible for that clarity of the image and the rgb for the color reproduction. then an algorithm combines the pictures and we have the final result.
p9 is impressive on photography. they are really clear, with great colors a very satisfactory depth of field and acceptable performance in low light conditions. i was disappointed on video though. there is no 4k capability and it's limited on full hd and 60fps. that doesn't bother me. i'm disappointed by the performance. the video isn't good, especially for this level of flagship. it lacks ois and clarity and under no circumstance this agrees with the high level of the phone.
huawei p9 is available on the greek market, starting from about €500. i think that it's a great device, if you exclude the video recording and at a great price next to the rest of the flagships. personally, i'd recommend it. that's all for now, i'll catch you up on unboxholics.com
