how often your phone needs recharging in one day? once, twice or thrice? charging smartphone battery can be annoying because it takes hours to complete. yet we need to use smartphone in nearly every activities nowadays. some flagship smartphone comes with quick charge or fast charging feature to cut charging time from more than 2 hours to just around 1 hour. in this video, we try to compare fast charging technology in 3 android flagship phones samsung galaxy note5, oppo r7s and asus zenfone 2 deluxe se. these smartphone have 3000 mah battery and 4gb ram. we also use xiaomi mi 4c as a comparison
because it has 3080 mah battery with quick charging 2.0 technology from qualcomm and a usb type-c port. fast charging technology also depends on the charger. all three smartphones come with 2.0 a charger while xiaomi mi 4c comes with 0.5 a charger. first, we drain all the battery completely and then start to charge them with each original charger. in just 15 minutes, oppo fast charging technology (vooc) managed to charge the battery to 27% while galaxy note5 battery got 22% and asus zenfone deluxe se got 21%. quick charge 2.0 technology in xiaomi mi 4c can only reach 16%. after 30 minutes oppo r7s has reached 56%, samsung galaxy note5 42% and asus zenfone 2 deluxe se 40%.
even with different charging speed all smartphones still ahead of xiaomi mi 4c quick charge 2.0 with only 30%. we come back to check progress on all smartphones after 60 minutes turns out oppo r7s is still leading with 94%, samsung galaxy note5 84%, asus zenfone 2 deluxe se 75% and xiaomi mi 4c 60%. 75 minutes in, oppo r7s got into 98%, samsung galaxy note5 is closing in with 96% and asus zenfone 2 deluxe se 86%. this shows that vooc flash charge in oppo r7s was effective in the first 60 minutes and it's slowing down after battery reach 90%. while samsung galaxy note5 fast charging technology relatively charging steadily and starting to catch up oppo r7s.
asus zenfone 2 deluxe se fast charging technology is quite similar to vooc flash charge, it slows down after the battery reach 70%. quick charge 2.0 in xiaomi mi 4c is fall way behind, it only reach 74% after more than 1 hour. at the end, oppo r7s and samsung galaxy note5 battery is 100% completed after 1 hour 20 minutes. asus zenfone 2 deluxe se battery is finally 100% full after 1 hour 45 minutes and xiaomi mi 4c after 2 hours. fast charging technology in oppo, samsung and asus is really useful to cut battery charging time. at least, you can charge the battery to 50% or more in just 30 minutes. unfortunately, qualcomm quick charge 2.0 is not impressive at all and not fast enough. just imagine smartphone without fast charging technology. as a bonus, we also tested samsung galaxy note5, oppo r7s and asus zenfone 2 deluxe se 3.000 mah battery life
with pc mark benchmark apps. we run the apps with 100% battery capacity on all smartphones. the result: oppo r7s has 5 hours 39 minutes battery life, just a bit longer than samsung galaxy note5 with 5 hours 37 minutes battery life and asus zenfone 2 deluxe se only lasts for 4 hours 36 minutes. this test shows you that each fast charging technology has different speed. but still, it's a lot faster than any standard charging technology.
